I like the fact that that we get to talk about are wrongs and rights. The kids knowing about themselves and what makes them ,them helps me learn more about me.The teachers comments help me become a better teacher also.
ok its me again. The good thing about the lesson plan went pretty good.We didnt have enought time to do it the first day so we had to continue the next week. The students seemed to enjoy the lesson so that was a positive. Also my partners seemed to be knowing what they were doing so that helped the lesson go smoothly.
I really like utap and it gives me the experience.Ilike working with kids. I like when we did the ice cream lesson, the kids really liked it and interacted with use very well. one thing I hate is when we wait to the last minute to do our lesson.I also hate is when we go to connecting we only have 15 minutes and that is not enough time.
i think it is really good that i had the experince of teaching to the first graders.i had fun with them.the down part about it was that they really didn't get it and it was hard for us to teach it to them.other than that our group did really good.the program is not that great but i am trying to adapt to the program.i really enjoy myself for this year that i been in utap.

what i appreciate about the program is that it really is concerned about the kids.It helps them learn about themselves and they really learn about things that they will know about the future.what i dont appreciate is the fact that we the teachers are not the ones that make up the topics.I think we are more creative and we will feel more comfortable teaching.
DONAYA HAMILTON'S RESPONSE
When the "I am Connecting" program was first presented to me, I was not interested. Why, because we had to also juggle another project at the same time and I thought how can we show our best in both areas without underachieving in one? That was certainly a low moment, but one of the best moments of all was working with the kids. Working with my team members was very interesting. We had all different types of personalities, but at the same time we was able to pull through and do our best as a group. I appreciate having the chance to work with kids of different types of behavior and I didnt appreciate the fact we didnt have enough time to work with the kids. But at the end of the day I can say it was a great experience.....
me amd my team mates works good together and I really like my team. our low moments are when we go to connecting and we don't have enough time with the kids. This year for utap has not been fun and I really didd not like this year it was not how it was my first two years. This year wasnot good to me.
**My high moments with the program is that when i am able to see the children and they are able to prove to me that they have learned something. A low moment is rushing through things and the kids do not understand what we were talking about.
**A positive moment with my team is that we are able to come up with creative lesson plans that will actually have the children involved to learn. Also that we all work together using everyone ideas. We don't have a negative moment.
**The thing that i appreciate about the program is that im able to see the children alot more. The thing that i dont appreciate about the program is that we don't have enough time to tell if the children really had grasp what we had taught. The time is short and i feel that the lesson doesn't get across to the students.
My personal experience with Connecting has been great. I was learning with the students. It was fun teaching the students about their brain and emotions. One of my up moments with the connecting program was when the students were asking questions about what they were learning that made me feel that they are learning from what we are teaching them. I don't think that their was any negative moments with my teammates we always were ready to teach the students and my teammates and I work well togather. There are many postive moments when we all came up with the same concept of each of the lessons. There's only one thing that I don't like is when we have a short amout of time to teach the lesson. They might be doing somthing fun before we get there and when we show up they get bumbed out that they have to stop their activity and listen to us. Over all I love the program.

Well me personally think that my Connecting Group and I is doing a very good job with the kids. There are no low moments in our group. The high moments are we the childrens enjoy what we are doing. The thing that I would change and dislike is the fact that we dont have enough time to get the lesson completed. There aren't any negative moments with my group members. The thing I apprecite about the program is that is gives me some experience with working in theth classroom and working with kids. But I appreciate everything this program has done for me and is going to do for me in the future....

JACCIE'S RESPONSE: I think that connecting is a great idea but it doesn't provide us with the proper timing to get prepared. I think that the lessons are a little to advanced for the students in my eyes because they discuss things like dendrites and I also don't like the one paticular lesson called "My Core Light" because it makes the kids believe they have this light inside of them that brightens when they do something positive and darkens when they do something negative and I feel like it is our job as teachers to teach them truth not lies because it's wrong for us to sit here and teach them something that's not true especially since they're young and will believe alot of the stuff we tell them becasue we're older and they look up to us.
I enjoyed working with Lawrisha, Tierra, Patrice and Crystal even though I wasn't here for most of the lessons. They have great imaginantions and are very creative when it comes to lesson planning.
I appreciate the experience we get out of this connectiong program because any experience is good experience but I don't appreciate the way some of the lessons were designed I think that maybe they went a little to far in the imaginantion area and overexaggerated for the kid's lessons.
its me again i like the buddies program it was really fun i enjoy myself in this.i like this program. i like all the lessons we did for the third graders.they was really into the lessons.our group did really good on the lessons.
I appreciate the program and the students i got to work with it has been a very exciting experience. there has no low points but the whole has been very pleasurable except working with nelibeth garcia because she is a pest!!
The high moments are when we go and the students are excited to see us there and when we have a great lesson planned out for them. The low moments are when we go and there isn't enough of time to have an effective lesson plan for the students to understand it and the teacher looks at us as if going into her class and interrupting her for only 5- 10 minutes is a waste of time; and I agree. Positive moments with my team is when we all work together to plan the lesson and we go into the classroom and wor together to teach the lesson. Honestly, so far as negative moments go, I have none. But, I appreciate the fact that I get a chance to work with elementay school students and teach them. There isn't anything I don't appreciate about the program; I like it.
In my opinion "connecting" is a going well, however it does not allow us enough time to teach the material that were assigned to us. In addition, the students seem to really enjoy the lesson that we teach them. I like the fact that connecting is allowing us to learn how to manage our time.
The high points that i've had in connecting is when i go in the classroom and we start teaching and you see the excitment in there eyes and see how excited they are tosee us and can'tn wait for us to get started so the can have fun and leaern something new.
The low moments that i have is when we work so hard on a lesson to do and buy the supplies ours selves to find that we can't even use them cause we don't have enough time to teach it.
Mygroup is usually always positive.

Your comments were great. I really enjoyed reading the comments, and they truly provided me with a true representation on how you guys feel. Sometimes we don't talk about these feelings as a class, and sometimes some of you do not express how you feel to me individually. Just know, I agree with what a lot of you had to say!
